About The Mayville-Schmitt Family Tree
This family tree is never complete and I'm always searching for new information. If you have any
additions, corrections or pictures, please feel free to contact me using the link above (the
"guest book" feature is NOT a good way to reach me, as I do not receive notifications when it is
signed, and thus never see it).

Currently, I have some brick walls I've been working on. Those surnames are Walsh, Hurst, Tice,
Walter, Hess, Hammel, and Liebenow (in addition to quite a few others). If you have any information
about any of these families, please contact me.

I am very interested in any Stark/Starck information and photos that others may be willing to share.
I have done a lot of work trying to track the different Starck lines which originated in Orenhofen,
Trier, Germany, and ended up in America. As such, there are over 300 Starks in my genealogy here.
For simplicity of searching (because different lines changed spellings & others not), I have entered
all in as Stark. It is important to note that there may be specific spelling differences which are
important to each individual family. As such, if there were to ever be a formal publication of the
Stark family genealogy, I will stick to individual spellings as best as possible.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.

The Map feature is Temporarily Unavailable while we fix a technical problem. Sorry for the inconvenience.
